    OVERVIEW

The popMATICS Setlist is our core set of fundamental building blocks for developing your understanding of sound. We encourage depth over breadth. We use and apply these core concepts in our Creating & Listening classes.

    FORMAT

The Setlist is a Video course designed to be viewed in sequence and at your own pace. Advanced students can progress more quickly, but we still recommend starting at the beginning. Our presentation is unique and will be new to all students.

These classes move through 4 Stages, from beginner to advanced, starting with keyboard geography and patterns in Stage 1 up to advanced functional harmony in Stage 4.

Creating, Understanding, and Listening work together to develop your musical fluency. We facilitate these connections via interactions in live classes, discussions in our online community, and in our Office Hours class and Song Tutorials.

Song Tutorials teach students how to play songs on the keyboard, from beginner to advanced stages, while preserving your musical freedom. You’ll have options and structures versus note-by-note patterns to copy.

Office Hours is a weekly class that you can attend live or watch via Recording. You’re welcome to submit questions in advance if you can’t attend live.
